My Story
Darius Chirila
Professional Race Car Driver
I come from Romania, a country where racing is not as appreciated as it should be, but I am determined to change that, and become a professional race car driver, with the help of RA Racing, a club that I am a part of.
The Beginning
Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of driving fast cars. Last year, I took the plunge and signed up for a race car driving course. The experience was mind-blowing, and I realized I had found my calling.
BRSCC Fiesta Junior Scholarship
At the beginning of 2023, I took part in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Scholarship in the UK. Despite not winning it, I learned a lot and became a better driver, understanding the world of motorsport internationally.
First Race Victory
My first race was in March 2023 at Motorpark Romania. In my last race of the season, after 8 hours of hard racing through tough conditions, I managed to secure first place in my class.
Racing in Germany
I competed in races across Germany, achieving an 8th place finish at Lausitzring and a 6th place finish in the prestigious DMV NES 1000km endurance race at Hockenheim, gaining valuable international racing experience.
Ultimate Goal
Now, I'm looking ahead, with the World Endurance Championship as my ultimate goal. It won't be easy, but with each race, I'll be a step closer to making my dreams reality.
